YOUTH Vision Statement:The vision of the Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church Youth is to let the young people of our community know that they matter, and to provide them with a space where they are welcomed, heard, and accepted into a spiritual family that will not judge them.
Mission Statement:Our mission is to respond to the social and spiritual needs of the teens in our community by providing fun programs, activities, and events that will allow them to express their faith through their own words and actions; to encourage them to use their individual talents in programs and ministries that interest them in order to nurture their growth as people of faith while providing volunteer services to the community.

Our Mission statement is called to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and the beliefs of the evangelical Christian faith, to maintain the worship of God, and to inspire in all persons a love for Christ. To totally depend on the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and teach us the things of God. We pledge our lives to Christ and covenant with each other to demonstrate His Spirit through worship, witnessing, and ministry to the needs of the people of this church and the community.
As your leader, and pastor under God's Appointment, I place before you God's Vision/Mission for St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Vision Statement
"And the LORD answered me, and said, 'Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:but the just shall live by his faith'".
Habakkuk 2:2-4
We must have an effective vision that clearly defines WHO WE ARE, and WHERE WE ARE.
Then it must clearly define WHERE we are going and HOW we plan to get there.
So here is the vision, step by step:
1. Who are we? "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." As believers in Christ, there is a great exchange that has taken place. One of the things exchanged is our sin for Jesus' own righteousness. Romans 5:1,
2. We are going to lead people to understand that God wants involvement in His ministry for His glory. That means there is a place for everyone to serve.,
3. We plan to teach the doctrines of the Bible, while standing firmly together as one family, ever reaching out to the lost and hurting in our community and city.
*********************** As a church family, we must dream of a place where the hurting can find healing from the terrors of this world.
As a church family, we must dream of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with every resident in our community and this dying world.
Our dream is to develop and equip every new member into the ministry of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Our dream is to see God do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ask or think.
Let us understand the Church Commission through Mission in Matthew 28:19-20.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
We are to go to our Jerusalem that is our own community, where you live, where I live.
Then we are to go to our Judea, that is our city, or surrounding area.
Then to our Samaria, that is our country, or state.
Then He tells us to go to the uttermost parts of the earth. If we cannot go ourselves, we can support those who can.
Look again at what Habakkuk 2:2-4 said: “We must make our vision plain to everyone. We must also keep it before us. My sincere desire is that we will take it and run with it.”
a. The vision is plain!
b. The Word of God is clear!
c. Now it is up to us; to accomplish God's mission for us!
If we are to be successful in this Vision/Mission, then we must stay focused on the prize of His high calling. Now, let us come together on one accord to do the work, and leave the results to God.
Let us wait on God, Galatians 6:9 tells us, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

WELCOME, WELCOME, and WELCOME!!!I am so elated that you were moved by the Holy Spirit to become a member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist family. Pastor, Derrick J. Shavers, First Lady, Holly Shavers and the entire St. Paul family are so excited about what God will do with and through you. We desire to help you as you navigate through your experience with God and this church. New beginnings are often time thrilling, exciting, and intimidating. I want to let you know that Pastor, First lady, and the St Paul family are here for you!! We want you to feel you are home, and we want you to grow spiritually, mentally, and financially in the things of God. In fact, that’s the beauty of having a Church. We are committed to pray you through the rough times, to rejoice with you in good times, and stand with you all the time. Once again, welcome to “St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church were you are somebody!”
St. Paul is a Church that is serious about God and Ministry! Your spiritual growth is most important us. The times of service are as follows: Sunday school is every Sunday at 7:45 am - 8:40 am. Worship service begins at 9:00 am every Sunday, and Holy Communion is 2nd Sunday. Mid week service/Bible Study is every Wednesday at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
New member, I want you to involve yourself in this ministry and work out your soul salvation until the returning of the Lord. Being involved in the church, helps you build relationships with members and God. Please don’t be afraid to involve yourself with Worship Service, Bible Study, or one of the ministries in the church. This also helps develop a personal relationship with God and learning the will, as well as, purpose he plans for your life. The truth is that for every one thing that’s pulling you “Toward God,” there are many other things trying pulling you “away from God.” May God’s Blessings be upon you and your family!
Yours in Christ,
Reverend Derrick Shavers, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church
